Overview Join a high-growth FinTech that is scaling its platform and infrastructure team in Sydney. They are looking for a Senior- Principal level Platform Engineer to help design and implement the next generation of their cloud-native data and application platform. The Role Build and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure to power millions of end users. Take a lead role across AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring (CloudWatch, DataDog, OpenTelemetry). Partner with data and engineering teams to enable Databricks lakehouse capabilities (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, multi-tenant architecture). Be a 2iC to the Head of Platform & Infrastructure, mentoring mid-level engineers and helping shape team practices. 5–7 years platform/DevOps/infra experience, ideally in cloud-native product environments. Deep knowledge of AWS Terraform (must-haves). Strong CI/CD and automation background. Exposure to Databricks (or similar: Snowflake, Spark, ML platforms). Engineering background, with the ability to influence design and mentor others.
